Fishing is a favourite winter and summer pass time in the area. Lake Temiskaming and another 25-30 smaller lakes offer pike, trout, pickerel, bass and various other species for the angler. And don't forget the annual Bass Fishing Tournament.

Guiding services are available on and around Lake Temiskaming, Lady Evelyn, and Lake Temagami. You can fish for Walleye, Lake Trout, Smallmouth Bass or even Aurora Trout. There are a number of trails in the area that offer scenic and safe routes for nature enthusiasts. If you are interested in Bird Watching - The Casey and Hilliardton Marshes allow bird watchers to view many different species of birds and wildlife in their natural habitat. Devils Rock is a fault cliff dated to 2,200 million years. It has a face of 600 feet rising 300 feet above the water level. Interesting features are the scars of mining tunnels chiseled into the cliff during the silver rush era.
